What is podcasting and why do I need it?
Podcasting is simply a way to deliver media (usually audio) files over the internet.  A single podcast is called a "feed".  You can subscribe to a podcast feed much like you subscribe to a magazine.  When you subscribe to a magazine, each issue of that magazine is sent to you automatically as soon as it is available.  When you subscribe to a podcast feed, each issue, or post, in the feed is automatically downloaded to your computer or portable media player as soon as it is available. People like podcasts because they can get things that they want to listen to delivered to them directly and then listen to them when they want.

What if I don't have an iPOD?
You might think that you have to have an iPOD in order to subscribe to podcasts.  But that is not true.  Podcast is just the name that stuck, sort of like everyone calls every kind of tissue a Kleenex.  Anyway, you can utilize podcasts on iPODs, but also on any other type of portable media player.  You can also utilize podcasts on a desktop or laptop computer.

How do I sign-up for a podcast?
The simplest way to subscribe to a podcast is by using iTunes.  iTunes is a completely free software available for any PC or Mac computer.  You can download and install iTunes here.  Once you have iTunes installed, all you have to do is click the iTunes link next to your chosen podcast on our podcast page.  Clicking this link will open your iTunes software and take you directly to the iTunes podcast listing where you can click the "subscribe" button.

If you're a little more adventuresome, you can grab the feed by clicking the "XML" button next your podcast.  This will take you to our feed page where you can get more information or grab the feed url directly.
